Today I used Write Yourself Alive to start a project I’ve been thinking of for awhile. I travel quite often for business and as often as possible (with my lovely fiancé, Emily) for pleasure. So I thought it would be nice to pick up a postcard at all the places I visit, write a little something on them, and share them with the world.
Today’s prompt was to write two letters — one of gratitude, and one of complaint. Mine are short and sweet, written on postcards from a pack Emily and I got in Rome a couple years ago. Enjoy!
A Letter of Complaint
My complaints are few–
Only the heartache
I feel
when you’re not near.
A Letter of Gratitude
Every day I wake
to your touch
is a day well lived.
P.S. It doesn't have to end like this
